My name is Travis Linville. I've lived here and there and done some different stuff along the way.  Some of that stuff is on this website.  My photographs and drawings have been exhibited narrowly at lesser known institutions and occasionally appreciated by my friends and family.  I maintain a website as part of a convoluted means of justifying my continued artistic activity.  And I guess we all need something to keep us occupied.  I'm not saving the planet or revealing a social injustice though I would like to make a contribution somehow.  In the meantime, I hope a few others appreciate my way of photographically chopping up what I see.

My basement - the mildew on the stored work is a post post modern comment on the ephemeral quality of art, especially photography, and how the democratization of the medium is itself cultural mold.  Please don't set your drinks and hors d'ouevres on the washer.  It's laundry day..

Juried shows everywhere - I pay to show my work.  That's how advertising works, right?

It's all about me...
